Inventory Clearance Sale Will Resume Sept 1

UPDATE  7-14-10 - As part of the move, I find I need to box everything up, which will make it impossible to find items when purchased. I will resume the sale when the move is completed.

I suspended stampmaking on July 1st for the remainder of the summer. Only the stamps in inventory (see the Unmounted Clearance Sale Category) will be available during July to the end of September.

I am moving the stamp making operation to a new building and need to replace the roof on my house and have lots of other summer stuff to do.

The bulk of my stamp inventory is unmounted stamps that are pre mounted on self adhesive rubber stamp mounting foam. For many of them, the mounting foam adhesive has shrunk or is dried out and will need to be replaced/removed. Hence the clearance sale. These stamps have been sealed in plastic and the rubber is fine, not dried out or hard. This foam is relatively easy to remove and I will post a "How to" soon.

I will make a list of shoppers and requests for stamps to be shipped in October, use the contact form above to send me your email address and the stamps you wish to purchase in late September and I will email you a reminder when I am pressing again and may email again when the stamps are available on this webstore again.
Use the catalog link below (oops, the links don't work ... I will fix this tonight) to see all my stamp designs,
Hint, I will have a sale on pre-orders in late September, the reminder email will include a unique coupon code for everyone who requested the reminder.
These reminders will be the only email sent from this list. I hate spam as much as anyone.

The stampmaking move requires the presses be disconnected and moved, 220 volt wiring to the new building, a new workbench to be built and the presses to be reconnected. Plus everything else setup for cutting and sanding the wood mounts, index stamps re-organized, assorted materials and tools organized for stamp making and lighting installed.

Have you made a card with my stamps? Send me a scan and I will display it here with credits.

Due to popular demand...
My unmounted stamps will no longer be pre-mounted on self adhesive stamp mounting foam. There are two reasons for this change, many customers have requested this and this change will eliminate the need to raise my stamp prices due to increased costs of materials. I do have a large inventory of U/M stamps that have the mounting foam installed, please add a note at checkout if you want me to leave this on for you. Otherwise it will be removed.

Mounted stamps are now available at wholesale, ask your favorite store to carry them.
Find out what happened to hundreds of old stamp companies, who bought them, how to find them, or contribute information. WHATEVER BECAME OF THOSE GREAT OLD STAMP COMPANIES?
Now hosted at artstampinglinks.com. Where you will find a directory with links to over 3500 stamping and scrapbooking websites. Including informational and some personal web pages as well.
Coming this fall ...I will be adding the option to purchase your unmounted stamps as plain rubber, with self adhesive stamp mounting foam or with cling mount (EZ mount style). After I move my stamp making operation to a new location later this summer, I will add this option.

For the past several weeks I have been argueing with a customer. She ordered 2 of the same stamp as mounted and paid using PayPal, the entire order was for just these 2 stamps. When I received the order, I emailed her asking if she meant to order two of the same stamp. She did not reply and a couple of days later I pressed the rubber, indexed the mounts and shipped them to her. She subsequently emailed me claiming she only ordered one stamp and that I had shipped and charged her for two.

She was accusing me of fraud and demanding a refund. I explained to her that my policy is "No Returns on rubber stamps except for replacement of defective products with identical designs" since it is possible to use a stamp, cleaning it after and that it is nearly impossible to tell if the stamp has been used.

I also explained there is no way for me to intervene in the order or paypal payment processing. There is no way I can increase the charge for an order. This is not a telephone order where the customer gives me a credit card number and I enter the information later,.I cannot process those types of charges.

So she decided to mail the stamp back anyway. I didn't open it and wrote "refused, return to sender" and dropped it back in the mail.

Now she is trying to claim I didn't return it and she wants a full refund. She threatened to have the BBB force me to pay her. LOL

I think she ordered the extra stamp for a friend who didn't want it and just figured she would go on the offensive and I would just capitulate and refund her in spite of my policy. I also believe she has the returned stamp in her possession and still expects me to refund her. The only person attempting to perpetrate a fraud is her.

I know some of you think the customer is always right. Some will think I should refund just for good will. But since I pressed the rubber die, cut and sanded the wood blocks, and indexed to order, I will not. I especially do not like being accused of fraud.

I mention this here in the event she decides to pubicly disparage me. My policies are easy to access and are plainly written. Update: She has now told me that she plans to cost me money by using the internet, my first reaction was to put her name, email and telephone number here. But I decided not to.

If the error had been mine, I would have immediately refunded her money and told her to keep the extra stamp to save her the trouble & expense of shipping it back. I take responsibility for my mistakes and expect my customers to do the same.

  • If you place an order, you should receive an email confirmation.
  • If you do not receive an email confirmation, contact me immediately
  • If you review your order confirmation and discover you made a mistake during ordering, contact me immediately.
  • I can refund part of the order and ship just what you wanted
  • or I can refund the entire order and allow you to start over.
  • Until I start processing your order, I can change anything, once shipped it's yours.

 I have mostly satisfied customers.
